What this website collects
This site has no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking scripts. We collect personal information only when you give it to us:
- Newsletter sign-ups. When you join the GCB Weekly or the BuckCity Brief, your name and email address go to Mailchimp, which sends those emails for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Giving, forms and registrations. Buttons for giving, kids pre-registration, groups and events take you to Church Center (Planning Center), which processes that information for us under its own privacy policy. Card and bank details are handled by Planning Center's payment processor and never reach us or this website.
Services that load on this site
A few pages load content from other providers, which may receive your IP address and browser details when they load:
- Netlify hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces.
- Google Maps shows the map on our location pages.
Links to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouVersion, Zoom, Amazon, Instagram and Facebook take you to those services, whose own privacy policies apply once you are there.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to send the emails you asked for, to process your gifts and registrations, to care for our church community, and to answer your questions. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Google account data used by our tools
GateCity Buckhead runs an internal tool, the GCB Sunday Pipeline, that publishes our Sunday services. It connects only to Google and YouTube accounts that belong to our church and its pastor, with their permission, and it does not access any visitor's or member's Google account.
- YouTube Data API. Used to upload our service recordings to our own YouTube channels, set their titles, descriptions and visibility, and add them to our playlists.
- Google Drive (read only). Used to download our own service recordings from our Drive folder.
Data from these accounts is used only to publish our own content. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not transferred to anyone else. Sign-in tokens are stored securely on a church computer. The GCB Sunday Pipeline's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our use of YouTube is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be removed at any time from the Google account's security settings.
Photos and video
Our Sunday gatherings are recorded and may be streamed or posted on our website, YouTube, podcasts and social media. If you would prefer not to appear, let a team member know on Sunday or email us, and we will do our best to help.
Children
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children online. BuckCity Kids registration is completed by a parent or guardian through Church Center.
Keeping and removing your information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to stop hearing from us, email info@gatecityatl.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the effective date at the top.
